What is Carepoynt?

Earn Poynts for completing health screenings, going to the doctor, working out, for online purchases with national brands, and much more.
Redeem Poynts that you earned for access to special offers and discounts, to pay for your Health and Wellness products and services with Poynts or reward yourself with the Carepoynt CareCard or Nationally branded Gift Cards to reward you or others for a life well lived!
Keep it Local! Gift cards are popular, but we also have a number of partners with physicial locations in Orange County where you can earn and redeem your Poynts. Sign into your Carepoynt account to find locations near you!
Share the Care. Did you know that you can donate your Poynts to charity? Amazon is a Share the Care partner which means that 4% of Amazon purchases initiated through Carepoynt is donated to charity. You may also donate to a charity of your choice. Find options to redeem in the gift cards section.

Is colorectal cancer screening covered by insurance?
Contact your health insurance company for information regarding your plan coverage by calling the phone number on the back of your insurance card.
What if I've already been screened for Colon Cancer?
If you have completed a colorectal cancer screening in the current 2019 calendar year, then you do not need to complete this screening. Likewise, if you have had a colonscopy within the past 10 years, then you only need to complete an annual screening at your physician’s recommendation.
If you do not need to complete a colorectal cancer screening at this time, then St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare commends you on already taking preventive measures and would like to award you with 500 bonus Poynts for creating an account and an additional 4,900 bonus Poynts when proof of prior screening has been received. Start by clicking here. Select the “I’ve already been screened” option to provide additional information.
If you have not completed a colorectal cancer screening in the current 2019 calendar year, then St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare will award you 500 bonus Poynts for requesitng a kit in the mail and an additional 4,900 bonus Poynts when you complete and return the screening kit. Why are you providing me with rewards for completing a healthcare screening?
Annual preventive cancer screenings are important, but are often overlooked. Did you know that colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in the United States and has a nearly 90% survival rate with early detection? St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare believes your health and wellness matters and rewards you for being proactive when it comes to your health and wellness.
How and when will I receive the results of my colorectal cancer screening kit?
The results of your colorectal cancer screening will be sent to your Primary Care Physician within 2-4 weeks of returning your completed kit. Please contact your Primary Care Physician for your results. Neither Carepoynt not the St Joseph Team will have access to your results. We will only be able to determine when the test results have been completed and provided to your Physician and can then issue your Poynts. Please check your Carepoynt account via the website login or via our handy App. You will ultimately receive an email when you have completed all three Steps in your first Health Rewards CarePlan from the St Joseph Team, and have received your 6,000 Poynts and are ready to redeem your Rewards from your Carepoynt account.
I submitted my request. What do I need to do next and when will I receive my 4,900 Poynts?
If you requested a screening kit…
You will receive an envelope in the mail within 2-4 weeks which will contain your kit, instructions, and the yellow return envelope.
Follow the kit instructions to complete and return the kit using the yellow envelope provided.
Your 4,900 bonus Poynts will be awarded within 2-4 weeks of returning your kit.
If you have already been screened … 4,900 Poynts will be awarded to you when your records are received and eligibility is confirmed using the information you provided.
I haven't received my screening kit in the mail.
You should receive an envelope in the mail with your screening kit within 2-4 weeks of your request submission.
If you haven’t received your screening kit after 4 weeks, request a new one be sent to you by clicking here.
I returned my completed screening kit, but haven't received my 4,900 Poynts.
Your 4,900 bonus Poynts will typically be awarded within 2-4 weeks of returning your completed kit. If you have not received your 4,900 bonus Poynts after 4 weeks, submit an inquiry to the Carepoynt and St Joseph Health Support Team by clicking here.
I requested my medical records be released, but I haven't received my 4,900 Poynts.
Your 4,900 bonus Poynts will be awarded when your medical records have been received from your physician which should be within 2-4 weeks of joyning Carepoynt and authorizing the release of this information.

How will I know my Poynts have been awarded?
You will typically receive a text message on your mobile phone to notify you when new Poynts have been awarded to your Carepoynt account.
You can also see your current and recent Poynts transactions each time you sign into your Carepoynt Account online or the Carepoynt App. Your current Poynts balance is in the upper right hand corner. You will have approximately 6,000 Poynts after your 4,900 Poynt bonus has been awarded. This may vary depending on whether you have earned additional Poynts and/or have already redeemed Poynts.

Do I need to wait until I have 6,000 Poynts to redeem for a reward?
Of course! You may redeem the Poynts you earn from your St Joseph Health CarePlan, or any other of your activities on Carepoynt for other gift cards under $50, or even redeem your Poynts with other local, National or online partners as long as you have earned enough Poynts to redeem. You can also continue to earn Poynts from other partners and plans from within the Carepoynt Community while you are waiting for your results and your Healthy Rewards Poynts from St Joseph Health to arrive.

Medical Record Request - Your 4,900 bonus Poynts will be awarded to anyone who completes an annual screening -OR- when records are received confirming that either an annual screening has already been completed for the current 2019 calendar year or a colonoscopy has been performed within the past 10 years.
